At some point I have to call it, and decide that GroupServer needs another
release. So Pastis will now become GroupServer 16.04, and it will hopefully
ship in April.
If people could test now would be a really good time, as it will give me more
time to fix any issues that arise. You can just clone the buildout repository
(using Git) into a directory of your choosing and go from there.
<https://github.com/groupserver/buildout>
(The tar-ball that is released is just a snapshot of the buildout repo).
Two things should make testing easier. First, Travis-CI has been testing the
build. Second, we now know that to compile lxml you need a gig of RAM, which is
what caused many *virtual* *machine* based installs to fail earlier:
<http://groupserver.readthedocs.org/en/master/groupserver-download.html#system-requirements>
For those with existing installs, please give the new GroupServer a go as you
have a good idea of what should happen (chose a junk name for your databases in
the config.cfg). In the near future I hope to double-check that the upgrade
path outlined in the release notes for Pastis actually does work.
Please send me your feedback here. For example, what you think of the new
colourised install-script? In the mean time, I will continue my testing.
