Currently we are redesigning the group homepage.ΒΉ The current intention
is to make the group homepage a full-width page, like the site home
page. This will result in the *context* *menu*Β² being dropped from
the group homepage. However, the current intention is to still show
the menu on the pages below the group homepage (such as the topic pages).
In gs-group-context.png below I show a prototype context menu. The design
cuts the menu down until it is a shadow of its former self:
* The group photo makes an appearance at the top of the menu. This will
help visually link all pages that are part of the group. Clicking on
this image will take you to the group homepage.Β³
* Some useful links follow. I have no idea what these links will be.
What links do you think will be useful? The definition of βusefulβ
that I am working with is βWould a person browsing for a post
or a file need to get from a topic page to the other page in one
click?β Topics, posts, and files are contenders. However,
I think that Members and Chat will go the way of Admin.
* The links to the other groups have been dropped. The person viewing
the page can still get to all other visible groups from the Groups
page. In addition the groups the viewer is a member of are also listed
on the site homepage, and the profile page.
* I tidied up the top of the Topic page, just to see what it would look
like. It has *nothing* to do with the context menu.
Huge thanks to Alice, Dan and Richard for their help in getting the
new design to the current stage.

2. The context menu is also know as the side-menu, as it is usually
placed on the side of the page.
3. This change is scheduled to take place along with the addition of the
